PAGED FROM OUR PAST
On July 24th our neighbor went with us to enjoy the town's Pioneer Days celebration. This piece has another blended photo. Love the kit call A Mother's Love by Studio Blagovesta!

Helen and a Friend...
I wanted to enter a contest at Scrapbook Graphic.com. Studio Blagovesta had a kit she offered for free and the challenge was to create a layout using only pieces form the kit. The kit is called Coffee With A Friend". I don't drink coffee but the kit was really fun and, as you can see, really versatile. I found this wonderful picture of my Aunt Helen a a young lady in her photo albums. The kit works wonderfully with the picture. Loved it!

Andy and Rhande..
This was created from a wedding announcement that my neighbor received for her grandson's wedding. Cute couple!! This was created from several different kits but I really loved the final version.  I have wanted to learn to make a photo into a drawing. I found a tutorial in YouTube and it seemed to work pretty well.
 Camping at Tokawanna...
Kris and her family came for a yearly Labor Day camp out and we did have a great time. They helped us get a load of wood for winter. We were really grateful!!! No fires were allowed this year so we were short on 'Smores! Very dry year!!!! I used the pictures from this event to create a layout for Scrap Orchard's Big Apple Challenge for September. This was created with the Challenge template! I have been learning about blended photos. The background paper has a blended photo of out camp site on it! Love our Tokawana property!
Love Yourself...
This was the second part of the Big Apple challenge. There was a Pinterest board created for this challenge and we were to select something from it as a spring board for a layout. I found this saying and really connected to it. This was my layout! And this is one of my baby pictures!!!! Fun, huh!!!
A Boy and His Dog...
My dad has loved dogs all his life. I found this picture in his sister's photo album. I loves it and had to do a piece with it!!! He was such a cute kid!!!

I am excited to share these layouts of our last family reunion. I really like the photo blending I did on this page. I hope everyone enjoys these!

I learned how to do painting like this yesterday. It is a photo made into a drawing and then "painted'. The tutorial was created by Chelle of Chelle's Creations. She is one amazing lady!!! It is a photo I took of our walking path here in our little town. It worked well for this Art Journaling piece!
Mike loves his motor cycles!!! And I love riding with him! I have named him the Collector of Vintage Motor Cycles... He now has 4. Or should I say, he has 3 and I have 1. Yes, I am learning to ride!! Scarry thought, huh!!!
I have been working with blended photos.  I found these pictures of Damien and couldn't resist making a layout with his 4 wheeler ride in his living room! He acted out all his crashes and wheelies and speed. These were really fun pictures!!!
This is my favorite composite photo i have done in the PSCS5 class. Fun, huh!!
These pansies were from another PSCS5 lesson! Fun collage. We are learning these with NO LAYERS!!!
I am taking a Photoshop CS5 class on line. This was a recoloring exercise. I had fun with the tulips!

For HELEN...
This is the last of the IS challenges I did.  I was determined to do a memorial for this dear lady and I hope this works. She was always good to me and I loved her. Mike told me after spending a day with her that  she was truly a lady!
I have been busy finishing up the IS challenges on Scrap Orchard. This one needed bubbles and speech bubble would work. This on was fun!

I think this time I did a better job!

Freedom to Me

This was a challenge I did for Scrap Orchard. I was a little disappointed in the results. I had lots in my mind when I woke up a 3am whit thought of what freedom meant to me. It just doesn't work. The feeling is just not there. I am not sure just what happened. But I have flatten it be mistake and it can't be undone!

A Special Visit!

Mike's daughter cam to spend Memorial Day with us and she brought her two daughters. This was about our visit!

WOW! FRANS HOT CHOCOLATE...

This is probably the best chocolate in the world! It was so fun to go to this small but classy chocolate shop and see and smell and taste. Mike had been reading about chocolates so when we went to Seattle we had to look up Frans. I think he said that Seattle is the home of Frans Chocolates. If you are ever there you must try this! Expect to pay lots but believe me, it was worth it!

"Older Than Me" Cars

Scrap Orchard is having an IRON SCRAPPER challenge. Just for fun I decided to do as of the challenges I could. They give at least one challenge per week but if all the weeks are like week one there will be at least 2.  The second challenge was to to a layout with a black and white picture on it. Could not resist do a layout about the cars we saw that day in Casper, WY at the  annual old car show. (I don't remember the offical name of the show!)

June 2012 in Las Vegas
We went to a conference in Vegas and got to visit with Phil and his family. I was so grateful for the lunch we did together.  I found a really old Scrabble Jr game at a yard sale. I photographed the playing board and scanned the tiles and made this layout with some of the parts. Cool, huh!

Seattle

We loved our trip to Seattle this spring. We didn't even get any rain! It was beautiful!!
I uses a kit by Irene from Scrap Orchard with some extractions of my own. I was really pleased with the results!

One Step Away...

Don't you wish sometimes that you could see the future just enough to know that you only had a few more steps towards the success of the DREAM!

Pedro's Ride

I have decided to try some art journaling. My cat decided to check out a delivery truck that was parked next door just befor it decided to leave. Mr P went for the ride of his life. The drivers made a few phone calls and brought him back the next day safe and sound!

River the Angel?

River is not always the little angel she seems in this picture. As a matter of fact, she usually not an angel but a mischievous little girl. So it is really great to catch her like this. This was a fun way to capture this moment.

Chloe

This is my oldest granddaughter, Chloe.  She is autistic and really loves the BLING. The last time my husband and I went to visit I took this photo of her.  I loved this layout as it seems to capture her spirit. This is also my first try in creating a mask. I wanted a sunburst behind her and I did not have a template of one. So I experimented! I really enjoyed this creative experience!
Paul Klee did some abstract city scapes that inspired this art class I organized for children.  In this class we used tissue paper, puff fabric paints and posterboard.  The kids had a great time and there were some really fun results!

Kids Art Class

This is one of my student's train pieces from the Still Life protion of my Art Masterpiece art classes. At the beginning of each class I wonder if the students art experience will end up good.  They always seem to!  This was a piece done with glue and pastels on black paper. It was a fun class.
Grandma Moyer

This is my most recent Heritage Art Piece. The doily on the frame (and also on the page inside the frame) was made by Grandma Moyer for her granddaughter. Creating this art piece was a wonderful opportunity to share some special memories with my friend. She told me about pieces of her grandmother's life that she remembered. She lived with her grandmother off and on as a child.

MAD HATTER SUMMER ART CAMP

These duck tape hats turned out just awesome! Even my gradson Danyl agreed that is was a fun class and a great project. We used lots of duck(quack!)tape with some pretty wild color combinations. But then, leave it to Duck Tape to bring us such a plethera of colors!!!

GABE

Gabe was baptised last fall.  His dad flew to Denver and did the baptism. It was a great day for this little guy! He was all smiles!
Judy Day has some great LDS Scrap Kits.  This layout was created with her Baptism kit.

Dahli

I lost my Dahli Dog last spring.  She was the best dog as I have heard most Goldens are.  She was 13 years old and getting sick a lot.  Some days she couldn't even walk! It was really sad. So last April we decided to have her put to sleep.  I created this memory page for her. I have missed her this last year.

Tickle Time...

TICKLE TIME WITH CHLOE!
Tickel time with grandpa is one of Chloe's favorite times. I loved the lady bugs in Irene Alexeeva's kit called Love Bug.

BLACK CAT...

Black cats are fun, don't  you think?
And I love really how his picrures work with this kit. It is Spooks by Anna BV Designs at Scrap Orachard

VIOLET AT 80!

Violet Voss turned 80 last year and she stayed with us on her birthday.  We made sure she recieved a great dinner along with her cake and ice cream (home made, of course!!)! I found this kit on the Designer Digitals site and thought it would be a great fit for these pix! The kit is called Sweet Madeline.

DARTH DAMIEN

Meet DARTH DAMIEN, the new sith lord!! Such a cute grandson I have!! I created this layout last October although the picture was taken last summer when I took my grandsons to the SLC Art Festival. But thhese pictures workes so well with this Spooky Cute October 2011 Mega Kit from Scrap Orchard.

DIGITAL SCRAPPING!!
I have decided to try some digial scrapbooking.  I have had some digital classes and I was really excited how this piece turned out. This is my grandson, Gabe.  We were at Independance Rock, Wyoming.  He was resting in the shade of  a covered patio. This was June 2011!
